Pop star Demi Lovato has been spotted filming in New Jersey for an apparent film appearance, according to several groups on Facebook.
Jersey Shore Emergency News shared a photo of the “Heart Attack” singer sitting at an unspecified restaurant at the Jersey Shore with the caption “Demi Lovato has been spotted around the Jersey Shore as she’s filming a movie called ‘Tow.’ She’s been enjoying some local eateries.”
The same account shared another photo with what appears to be a lot with film crew and a caption that read “Demi Lovato, and Johnny Depp reportedly filming at a car wash in Perth Amboy.”
While no other accounts have shared any photos with Depp, Lovato has been making her way around the Garden State. Lovato was also seen at the Ambeli Greek Taverna in Cranford earlier this month. The restaurant shared a post on its Facebook and Instagram accounts with some of the staff posing with Lovato with the caption: “‘Sorry Not Sorry’ for loving Greek food - @ddlovato approves. A sincere thank you to Demi Lovato for dining with us! We hope you enjoyed the flavors and warmth of Ambeli while visiting @downtowncranford.”
“Tow” also includes Cherry Hill native Dominic Sessa and Rose Byrne, who have been also spotted filming in Cranford.
“Tow” is based on the true story of homeless Seattle woman Amanda Ogle (Byrne) who fought her way into reclaiming her life and car after receiving an expensive tow bill for thousands of dollars.
Lovato, 31, performed in New Jersey last June, as part of the multi-venue North to Shore festival, headlining the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park.
