While the month of May was a wet one, let’s keep our fingers crossed that June is filled with warm sunny days filled with activities and events that the entire family can enjoy.

Saturday, June 3

2. Saddle Up is hosting its fifth annual Customer Appreciation Sale and Vendor Fair from 10 a.m. to 6p.m. at 1003 Ash St. in Gilcrest. 3. Grab your rods and reels and head to the fishing derby at 8 a.m. at Sanborn Park, located at 28th Avenue and 20th Street in Greeley. The free event is open to all ages and you do not need a fishing license to participate. For more information, go to https://bit.ly/41XEIpC.
4. The Downtown Fort Collins Story Stroll will be available all day beginning at the Poudre Fire Authority, 102 Remington St. The stroll will feature pages from the book “How To Fold A Taco” by author Naibe Reynoso and illustrator Ana Varela. 5. The 10th annual Festival of Faerie will take place at 10 a.m. at Festival Plaza, 311 S. Public Road in Lafayette. The event will feature unicorn races, costume contests, vendors, food and beverages, live entertainment, a parade and more for all ages. Admission is $10 per person. 6. The town of Windsor is hosting its annual fishing derby at 10 a.m. at Eastman Park, 7025 Eastman Park Drive for kids ages 2-12 years. 7. Country music artist Hunter Hays is scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. at the Summit Denver, 1902 Blake St. Hays is known for his string of hits such as “Wanted,” “Somebody’s Heartbreak” and “I Want Crazy” just to name a few. 8. Get a jump on your summer barbecuing skills by attending Traeger Demo Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Scheels, 4755 Ronald Reagan Blvd., Johnstown. The event will feature a variety of different grills and smokers as well as demonstrations on how to cook various meats and other foods. The free event is open to all ages. Sunday, June 4
9. Spend the summer exploring your creative side by enrolling in Summer Playwriting at 1:30 p.m. online. The program is presented by Idiom Theater and will teach beginning, intermediate and advance writers of all genres the ins and outs of playwriting. 10. The third annual Blue Car Show is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Blue Federal Credit Union, 2401 E. Pershing Blvd., Cheyenne. 11. Cowboys Dead will be performing at 2 p.m. at Spirits Music Hall, 1 N. Parish Ave., Johnstown. The northern Colorado country blues gospel folk rock band will be playing a variety of songs from the Grateful Dead. 12. The Comedy Brewers Improv Show will take place at 7 p.m. at Bas Bleu Theatre Company, 401 Pine St., Fort Collins. 13. Author Inspirations with Mike Rucker will take place at 2 p.m. online. Rucker will be discussing his latest book, “The Fun Habit: How the Disciplined Pursuit of Joy and Wonder Can Change Your Life.” The discussion will be followed by a Q&A with Rucker. 14. Downtown Greeley Walk and Talk with Bianca Fisher is set for 4 p.m. starting at Margie’s Java Joint, 931 16th St. Fisher, the executive director of the Greeley Downtown Development Authority invites all ages to attend the event where they can ask questions, provide feedback and learn about upcoming events and projects. 15. The Rialto Theater: Summer Films and Kids Movie Club is scheduled for 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at 228 E. Fourth St., Loveland. 16. Enjoy an evening motorcycle ride at Bike Night at 5 p.m. at Burnout Grill, 1760 Broad St., Milliken. 17. The Windsor Summer Concert Series kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at Boardwalk Park, 100 N. Fifth St. with the band, Funky Business. 19. One Sweet Summer Sessions: Bluegrass and Blues Festival is scheduled for 2 p.m. at The Foundry, located between First and Third streets in downtown Loveland. 20. Join horticulturist and author Jessica Friss and Director Scott Aker for a tour of the High Plains Arboretum at 1 p.m. at 8301 Hildreth Road, Cheyenne. 21. Support Greeley’s own sweaty soul band, The Burroughs, for the release of their latest album “Honey Imastar” at 7 p.m. at Meow Wolf, 1338 First St. in Denver. 23. Old Firehouse Books is hosting Say Gay Night at 6 p.m. at 232 Walnut St., Fort Collins. The evening highlights how the bookstore is a safe space for the LGTBQ+ community.
