The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has expected that the impact of weather fluctuations in the northeastern regions will decrease this evening, with improvement of weather conditions, especially tomorrow, due to high air pressure, and wind will gradually shift to be northwesterly, with a markable drop in temperatures over most of the eastern and southern regions, and increase of clouds in some regions of the northeast.
The National Center of Meteorology expected that the weather will be relatively cold in the northwestern regions of the country, with relatively active northwesterly wind today, and clouds will increase, interspersed with light rain, especially over Nafusa Mountain regions. Wind speed will decrease tomorrow in most regions of the country, with weather improvement. There is the possibility of light rain tomorrow evening in some areas of the northwest.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Tuesday, 23 April 2024 for the following regions of the country as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds will increase over the area at the beginning of today and tomorrow evening, with the possibility of light rain in some areas.
- Wind: Active northerly and northwesterly, and wind speed will decrease this evening.
- Temperature: Ranges in most areas between (19--23°C). increase will be recorded tomorrow, and will recede on Thursday.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy.
- Wind: Westerly to northwesterly active, sometimes strong, in the regions of the Gulf and Benghazi, and it will be strong southeasterly, with speed that may exceed (60 km/hour) in the mountain regions and Tobruk, causing dust and a decrease in horizontal visibility, turning to a moderate northwesterly wind this evening with improved visibility.
- Temperature: It is high today, ranging between (23-28 °C) over the Gulf and Benghazi, and it will range between (30-36 °C ) over the rest of the region, and will record a markable decrease tomorrow.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds.
- Wind: Moderate northwesterly winds turning to northeasterly tomorrow.
- Temperature: Ranging between (29-35 °C).
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds.
- Wind: Southeasterly, to southwesterly, brisk, causing dust and sand and a decrease in horizontal visibility, turning this evening to northwesterly.
- Temperature: Ranging between (40-43 °C) and will decrease on Wednesday.
