Situation in central Africa analysed in Luanda
The summit, summoned by the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, will analyse the latest events in DR Congo, South Sudan and the Central African Republic.
Speaking to the press about the summit being dubbed “Political Concert for Unity in Action”, the Angolan Foreign minister, Manuel Augusto, explained that the meeting is to focus on unity, having into account that the problems of the region must be, first and foremost, resolved by the leaders or governments of the respective countries of the region.
The gathering will also look at the situation in the Kingdom of Lesotho.
The summit is to be attended by the Heads of State of DR Congo, Joseph Kabila, Republic of Congo, Dennis Sassou Nguesso, Gabon, Ali Bongo, Rwanda, Paul Kagame, Uganda, Yoweri Museveni and the Chairman of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat.
